What is a large item for a courier?

The definition of a large item or parcel changes depending on who you ask – it doesn’t have to be very big for it to be too big for Royal Mail or some of the other better known courier services. One option to consider is pallet delivery. We can take delivery of your goods to our warehouse and palletise them ready for distribution. We have dedicated forklift drivers who will load and store your goods and then safely put them onto our Luton Vans for transportation.

How large an item can you fit in a Luton Van?

We have a fleet of Luton Vans, driven by our professional drivers to ensure you receive a reliable service. We don’t use external couriers like DHL or UPS – we look after you end-to-end. Luton Vans are very versatile; small enough to get up narrow country lanes and into small urban cul-de-sacs but large enough to hold between 1,000kgs and 1,300kgs in weight. To put it into context a Luton van is sufficient to move a small house with up to 45 boxes, a table and set of stackable chairs, two double beds, a big sofa, two wardrobes and a couple of white goods.

We don’t do house removals, but this gives you some idea of how much we can fit in our vans.
